A winter traction fitment finder for AutoZone

Matching snow chains to a vehicle is a compatibility problem, not a browsing problem — so we built the filter that solves it.

About the project

What we built

Snow chains are one of the harder things to buy online. Fit is determined by tire size rather than by vehicle model, clearance varies enough that the wrong chain can damage a car, and most people are shopping in a hurry because weather is coming. Browsing a catalogue does not answer the question — 'will this fit my car?' does.

We developed the filtering system that answers it. A customer enters a tire size and picks a vehicle type, and the tool resolves that to the chains and cables that actually fit, across passenger cars, light trucks and SUVs, commercial trucks, and tractor and special-use vehicles — each with its own fitment rules and clearance constraints.

The supporting content is built around the same friction. Guidance on finding and entering a tire size sits directly beside the finder, because that is where people get stuck, and installation videos and warranty information are one click away for buyers deciding whether they can fit chains themselves.
